Each purchase empowers farmers who are members of Kuapa Kokoo in Ghana, the cooperative that supplies the cocoa. They are paid fair wages for their beans and receive a social premium that the cooperative invests in schools, clean drinking water, medical clinics, and women's entrepreneurship projects.

Located in: Ghana
Divine Chocolate works with cocoa farmers in Ghana to harvest delicious cocoa. Most Ghanaian cocoa is grown on small family farms, among the other crops and spices. The organization is co-owned by a cooperative of thousands of farmer members, Kuapa Kokoo. The farmers of Kuapa Kokoo are paid fair wages for their beans and receive a social premium that the cooperative invests in schools, clean drinking water, medical clinics, and women's entrepreneurship projects. Plus, as owners they have a share in the profits, a say in the company, and a voice in the global marketplace.
