The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will play a strategic role by owning the development of the customer journey, and executing programs to drive deeper engagement with the customer to increase retention and revenue growth. This person will help to retain our existing customers and work to educate our customers on our mission and products.

Responsibilites

  • Develop/design and execute the lifecycle marketing journey and one-off campaigns across all channels (email, SMS, corporate, custom orders, design trade, blog) to drive conversions and retention.
  • Improve and ideate around our existing referral and reviews program.
  • Work cross-functionally to support a data-driven test and learn model.
  • Establish A/B testing processes and execute to test creative design, content, targeting capabilities, and channels to constantly improve conversion and retention rates.
  • Create and edit engaging, relevant, on-brand, and accurate copy.
  • Develop customer segmentation, targeting, and contact strategies while partnering with internal teams, external partners, and content creators to develop brand-relevant messaging, creative and promotions.
  • Educate our customer base about the nonprofit, our artisans, product value, etc through customer-focused content.
  • Take ownership of all KPIs for your programs and lifecycle segments, and communicate results to partners and management.
  • Map customer journeys across the entire lifecycle, define multi-channel touchpoints, highlight areas of friction, and identify engagement and conversion opportunities.
  • Identify customer segments and tailor journeys accordingly to maximize engagement and increase revenue.
  • Build out campaigns and journeys across a variety of lifecycle stages, ranging from cart abandonment to renewals, including triggered and marketing communications
  • Manage and implement the end-to-end email process, from concepting and creative briefs to development and production to deployment and monitoring
  • Collaborate with key internal partners, including Creative Marketing Manager, Ecommerce Director/Manager, Senior Digital Designer, and Sales, to promote key brand and business initiatives and ensure effective communication with customers
  • Ability to edit/modify Photoshop/ Illustrator files as needed for lifecycle efforts.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an email marketing, SMS, CRM or customer lifecycle role; experience with direct-to-consumer brand and/or subscription services a plus
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for email, creative, segmentation, dynamic content, and deliverability; experience building customer journey series a plus
  • Experience with A/B testing, test designs, post results analyses
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Email coding
  • Strong writing skills, strategic thinker, creative eye, and outstanding attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who is self-motivating.
  • Comfortable handling and digesting a large amount of real-time data.
  • Possesses communication skills along with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong organization and planning skills – able to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel or Google Suite.
