Studio Photographer + Digital Content Manager

The Little Market is looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in gaining experience in studio photography, e-commerce, and digital marketing. Working as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment, this position is responsible for photographing all products on a seamless background, editing images for print and digital uses, and managing the organization’s digital content library. Candidates must have excellent photographic skills, coupled with a good understanding of lighting techniques. They should also have experience using post-production digital photo-editing software.


  • Shoot, and edit all seamless product images for website and determine the optimal look and styling for each product type to ensure images meet the brand aesthetic and highlight the products features
  • Manage all aspects of the photo studio equipment and photography software
  • Communicate with lifestyle photographer, obtain, and organize lifestyle photos from collaborations and on-location shoots
  • Edit all seamless and lifestyle photos for various uses, including press features, website, blog and social media
  • Keep team members informed of new content when it becomes available
  • Oversee image file creation, management, transferring and processing, and perform naming and archival of images according to agreed process for product photography as well as marketing photography
  • Regularly organize and manage the organization’s database of images so that images are easily accessible to all team members
  • Upload relevant images on website before products are launched
  • Monitor photography on the website and troubleshoot product images with issues
  • Independently manage a photo shoot schedule, shot list, and prop list, in order to meet deadlines for product launches
  • Regularly communicate with team members to stay informed of product deliveries and upcoming marketing stories to ensure deadlines are met
  • Performs special projects and other job related duties as assigned


  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Related Skills and Knowledge:
    • Experience in photo editing, color correcting, and image post production process for digital and print
    • Familiarity with studio lighting equipment is preferred
    • Experience working in ecommerce or photo studio is a plus
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop and Lightroom
    • Needs to be able to multitask on several projects in order to meet daily/weekly deadlines
    • Understands process of turning RAW images to finished images ready for publication
    • Must be organized and able to manage large amounts of image assets
    • Maintains professionalism and patience under pressure in a face paced work environment
    • Detail-oriented to ensure that assignments are complete, accurate, and consistent
    • Awareness of contemporary trends in photography, styling, home décor, and fashion
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to react quickly when the need arises
