With our model starting in 2023, we aim to be a liaison between artisan and producer groups and wholesalers and buyers. Our goal remains the same: to connect artisans to a greater marketplace for more opportunities to share their handmade goods and raise awareness about the underserved communities we support.

HOW DO I START BUYING IN BULK WITH THE LITTLE MARKET?

If you are a wholesaler buyer, designer, event planner, or hospitality professional, please apply with our online application and pick the opportunity that's best for you or your company. Our team will review and respond to you with the status of your application. After approval, we will direct you on how to create an account, start exploring our selection of handmade goods, view pricing and details, and submit your order details and inquiry. CAN I CONTINUE TO PURCHASE PRODUCTS ON YOUR WEBSITE?

As of May 11, 2023, The Little Market no longer sells products directly to customers through our website. For shoppers and those interested in Corporate Gifting, you can now shop your favorite candles, soaking salts, sugar scrubs, and more at Prosperity Candle. This is the same social enterprise that has been carefully crafting small-batch, best-selling candles for The Little Market since 2014. Prosperity Candle employs women artisans and refugees who have resettled in the United States from conflict countries.

I HAVE A GIFT CARD WITH A REMAINING BALANCE. WHAT DO I DO?

Please note that we are no longer accepting gift cards on our website. We emailed those with remaining gift card balances in Spring 2023 for next steps. If you have any questions, please email us at hello@thelittlemarket.com.

WHAT IS FAIR TRADE?

Fair trade is a form of ethical, environmentally conscious, and sustainable production that focuses on creating economic opportunities for disadvantaged producers. It promotes inclusive practices, safe working conditions, fair pay, and the preservation of traditional techniques. .

Will you continue to operate as a nonprofit, charitable organization?

This change will not affect our nonprofit status or charitable mission, but rather just how that mission is carried out. We are committed to supporting dignified income opportunities for artisan and producer groups in underserved communities by connecting them to a wider marketplace. We will also continue to raise awareness about fair trade and human rights issues impacting artisan and producer groups and their communities.

SHIPPING QUESTIONS:

When will I receive my order?

After an order inquiry is submitted to our team, we will connect you to the respective artisan and producer group(s), and they will help to determine the timeline of your order.

How much is the shipping cost?

Please note that all payments will be made directly to the individual groups, which means that most will be international payments. All shipping details will be arranged directly with the artisan or producer group, as the goods will be shipped from the group straight to your location. Please be aware that pricing levels shown on the portal are based on using the most economical method of shipping, and that in the majority of cases, this would involve ocean freight shipping. Consequently, you would need to be prepared to work with a freight forwarder to handle the inbound shipping logistics.

When will I get confirmation of the items I submitted in my inquiry?

After an order inquiry is submitted to our team, our team will review and connect you to the artisan and producer groups as soon as possible so that you may place an order directly with them.

Do I have to submit payment for my order inquiry?

After an order inquiry is submitted to our team, we will review and connect you to the artisan and producer groups as soon as possible. Payment will be submitted directly to the groups.

If I currently do not meet the minimum order quantity, what are my options?

We recognize that not every client may be able to meet our new minimum order quantities, which we’ve set to meet the standard volume minimums per product and make the best use of resources. For retail shoppers purchasing a few products and those interested in Corporate Gifting, you can now shop your favorite candles, soaking salts, sugar scrubs, and more at Prosperity Candle. PRODUCT QUESTIONS:

DO I HAVE TO ORDER THE SAME TYPE OF ITEM TO MEET THE MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY, OR CAN I MIX AND MATCH VARIATIONS?

In some cases, you will be able to mix and match variations from the same artisan or producer group to meet the order minimum. Please enter the quantities you’re interested in and submit the inquiry, and a member of our team will contact you to discuss options in more detail.

WHY ARE MY ITEMS NOT THE SAME COLOR AND/OR SIZE AS ADVERTISED?

As a result of the handcrafted, small-batch nature of these products, many items will vary in color and/or size. We hold handmade products in the highest esteem, and we hope that you enjoy and celebrate these variations as much as we do.
