Resources include educational programs, legal services, mental health services, laser tattoo removal, and solar panel training. The team works in a supportive, collaborative environment as part of a loving community. The organization began in 1988 as a form of supporting individuals who were formerly involved in gangs in East Los Angeles. Homeboy Industries is now recognized as the largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program in the world.

Homeboy Bakery was the first social enterprise division to be created within Homeboy Industries. We have collaborated on a delicious assortment of baked goods including cookies, muffins, and breads through local deliveries and nationwide shipping. Homeboy Bakery began as a place where aspiring bakers could start their training; it is now also where program participants and trainees can work within the bakery and management positions to further grow the business. Through this collaboration, we are collectively supporting fair wages, a safe workplace, and productive reentry programs for the producers.
