INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY / PANELS / Latina Leadership

Actress and activist Eva Longoria and Dolores Huerta, an inspirational activist and advocate, discuss what intersectional feminism means and why women are at the forefront of movements to end racial injustice, climate change, and gender and reproductive inequality. They talk about the Latina pay gap, family separation at the border, and how grassroots communities are making change — a few women at a time. Dolores talks about some of the important victories she has won for women.

There are about 60 million Hispanic people in the United States, making up approximately 18 percent of the population, yet they are significantly underrepresented in politics, entertainment, and other sectors.1 Latinos are overrepresented among essential workers and have borne the brunt of the pandemic, becoming infected and dying at higher rates than their white counterparts.

Representation matters everywhere: government, in the boardrooms, media, entertainment, everywhere.

The Little Market is Proud to Partner with the Dolores Huerta Foundation.

Since Spring 2020, we have collaborated to support equality, community organization at the grassroots level, and advocacy for education, health, and youth development. Through our partnership, we created special edition candles, hand-poured by women refugees in the United States. For every candle in this collection, 50% of each purchase will be donated to the Dolores Huerta Foundation.
