strike a chord:

where activism meets artistry

MILCK is a musician using the power of her songs to advocate for social change. Her tunes of togetherness and empowerment move people all around the world to feel less alone and filled with hope for a brighter future.

When I was in college, I was pre-law, pre-med, pre-business, pre-anything that my parents were hoping I would do, until finally I realized that the only thing that I could do for more than 12 hours straight was music. I knew I needed to follow that path.

MILCK has transformed her creativity, artistic talents, and incredible skills as a writer into storytelling that provides listeners all over the world with comfort and opportunities for growth while overcoming obstacles. Music and songwriting are her outlets for expression — helping her tap into her bravery and uplift others. A social changemaker, she believes in the power of music to change society for the better.

I'm inspired to help people feel catharsis — to heal. I think that’s my strength: I’m not afraid to be vulnerable or to talk about hard things, so I put it into my music and allow people to use that music as medicine.

OUR CANDLE COLLABORATION

MILCK’s latest musical release declares that each of us not only belongs in the United States of America, but also to one another. For each candle purchased, 50% of the purchase price will be donated to a nonprofit beneficiary of the Somebody Beloved’s Fund that is dedicated to eradicating domestic violence by promoting the social, economic, and political self-determination of women.

shop the collaboration

With our candle collaboration for my new song, ‘I Belong,’ I envision my fans and fans of The Little Market ordering and lighting it as a gift to themselves and as a reminder to themselves that they belong.

a conversation on:

Asian Americans Breaking Barriers

Melissa Magsaysay facilitates a conversation with MILCK, Eva Chen, and Amanda Nguyen about how they’re blazing pathways for Asian American women. They share their experiences as children of immigrants, the power of telling new stories about migration, and how they learned to use the power of their voices.
