Tieghan’s Recipe for Success

Founder of Half Baked Harvest, Tieghan is a talented author, blogger, food photographer, stylist, and recipe developer. She’s a hardworking trailblazer who fell in love with cooking and baking and paved her own path to share her delicious recipes with the world. She is an inspiring role model for the everyday person, whether they are learning to cook or taking the road less traveled for the first time.

I’ve really gone out there and paved my own path, which I love. That’s something that I hope to inspire younger women behind me. Don’t look at the rules, don’t look at the guidelines, just do you. Figure out what’s exciting to you, and go out and do it.

Food was never on Tieghan’s radar growing up, as she chased her dreams of becoming a fashion stylist in Los Angeles. “But things change,” she says, reflecting on her self-paved path. Make no mistake, Tieghan didn’t stumble upon stardom. After years of head-down hard work, she realized she had momentum and, more than that, enjoyed her homemade career. Inspired by her mom to be a problem solver and action taker, she says now she can’t see any other way.

I see myself as a role model to the everyday person who wants to cook but doesn’t know how and needs a little bit of a push to get them there. I am so excited I can do that through my blog – to be able to show them that cooking is not scary. You can do it with minimal ingredients or pantry staples. And, if you mess it up, it’s totally ok.

MARINATED CHERRY TOMATOES with BURRATA

A firm believer in shopping seasonally, Tieghan uses produce as the building block for all of her recipes — adding color, flavor, and nutrients. In this pretty make-ahead appetizer, she tops garlic toast with herb-marinated cherry tomatoes fresh from the farmers market. Finished with burrata cheese and our basil-infused olive oil, this summer-ready dish tastes as good as it looks.

TIEGHAN'S PICKS

A dedicated member of our Council, Tieghan believes in the importance of supporting, empowering, and highlighting women and their incredible work. That’s one of the many reasons she loves using pieces from our artisan-made collection throughout her kitchen and home.

I have so many favorite products from The Little Market, but the candles and the market bags are my absolute favorite. I love to light the candles every single night.
