About Our Artisan Partner

Tara Projects, or Trade Alternative Reform Action, works with communities in and around Delhi, India and strives to create avenues for economic growth. The organization’s workforce includes people from marginalized communities including refugees, women, people with disabilities, and survivors of domestic violence.

Our brass candle vessels are created by metalworkers at Tara Projects who receive a living wage, healthcare and medical insurance benefits, and access to adult literacy programs. Tara Projects is committed to practicing fair trade principles and is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization, the World Fair Trade Organization-Asia, and the Fair Trade Forum-India.
