HANDMADE IN BANGLADESH

Hand-stitched by artisan women in Bangladesh over 50+ hours, the medium kantha quilt is a one-of-a-kind work of art, so no two blankets are the same! Upcycled from vintage cotton saris, each quilt features an intricate pattern on one side and a white side with detailed stitching on the back. For a special touch, every blanket is embroidered with the name of the woman who made it.

Enjoy it as a picnic or beach blanket in the spring and summer and as a cozy companion in the colder months. It is ideal for a full- or queen-sized bed.

Every purchase contributes to brighter, safer futures for women in Bangladesh, many of whom are survivors of sex trafficking. They are provided with dignified work, literacy and life skills, medical support, counseling, and more resources to help them thrive.

BASHA
Located in: Bangladesh
Women at Basha create one-of-a-kind kantha quilts from repurposed cotton saris. These women, many of whom are at-risk and survivors of human sex trafficking, are resilient artisans that preserve a hand-stitching technique. They complete a training and rehabilitation program prior to beginning work. Basha provides training, including literacy and life skills programs. The artisans also receive medical support, counseling, and day care for their children.
