DETAILS

  • Approximately 3" diameter x 3.5" height
  • Holds approximately 13 oz.
  • Features removable raffia netting for versatility and easy care.
  • As with all handmade items, variations will occur.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Hand-wash only with cool water.
  • Do not expose to hot or boiling liquids.
  • Do not place in microwave, oven, or freezer.
  • May be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher on a normal cycle, however each glass may not touch other items.
  • Due to their delicate and handmade nature, avoid stacking glassware to help prevent breakage and shock.
  • To store, thoroughly dry, allow for ample space between pieces, and keep the rim-side up.
  • Raffia: For regular maintenance, rub gently with a damp cloth and a few drops of mild soap. Let air dry naturally or dab lightly with a dry cloth.

Artisans at Chabi Chic work hard to preserve a tradition that has been passed down through generations and that is facing competition in today’s environment with automated mass production. The pottery is hand-molded and hand-painted from the beginning of the process until the end. The artisans use recycled glass to make the collection of glassware. The beautiful bags are handwoven using sustainably sourced materials. For the woven glassware, artisans carefully braid and weave raffia fibers and blow on the glass to create its unique shape. I waited for these to come back in stock to match the woven pitcher and WOW, I'm so impressed with these! The cups have a nice weight to them, and they remove from the woven covers for easy hand washing. As an added bonus, the weaving on the cups seems to serve as a natural "koozie" and keeps the glasses from sweating! The weaving is much softer than other glasses of this style I've used at friend's/family member's houses, which is more of a wicker. I prefer this softer weave, it feels very nice in hand and isn't scratchy at all. I'm very pleased with these glasses, and it feels wonderful to support artisans via the little market. Can't wait to get more!
