HANDMADE IN NEPAL

Make learning lively and bring playtime inside with our felt alphabet sets that help little ones easily learn and remember their letters. From A to Z, this felt collection brings the fun in for a hands-on, engaging activity.

Each piece is eco-consciously made using wool and cotton — making them 100% biodegradable.

Every purchase of this garland supports artisans in Nepal, many of whom previously did not have access to a formal education and are women who are the sole providers for their families. They are empowered through dignified income opportunities to ultimately achieve financial independence, make critical decisions, and have their voices heard.

NIVAS
Artisans working with Nivas in Nepal have carefully crafted this felt décor by hand using wool and cotton thread. They practice intricate wet felting and needle felting techniques that have a low environmental impact. The artisans include refugees, displaced people, single mothers, and divorcees. The majority of the artisans have had limited access to a formal education and are the sole providers for their families. Nivas seeks out these women to train and hire them so that they have an opportunity to earn a living wage in a safe and supportive environment. Nivas strives to empower these talented women to achieve financial independence so they can sustain themselves, leave abusive situations, make decisions, and have their voices heard. Nivas recognizes that when mothers work, their children are able to receive a quality education and stay in school.
